Our Story

CHAINCOIL was born out of necessity, shaped by experience, and built with purpose.

While on paternity leave at home in Oregon, I found myself juggling land-clearing projects between spending time with my growing family. As I carried my chainsaw through the woods, I was constantly frustrated by how bulky, tangled, and unreliable my spare chain storage options were. Either they were tossed loosely into a toolbox left to tangle or stuffed into oversized cases—neither of which worked well in the field.

With a background as a combat engineer in the U.S. Marine Corps, where I frequently worked in rugged environments and relied on chainsaws for mission tasks, I understood the value of gear that just works—reliably, efficiently, and without fuss.

So I set out to build a solution myself.

That solution became CHAINCOIL: a compact, cylindrical 3D printed storage block designed specifically to hold chainsaw chains in a neat, secure, and easy-to-carry way. What started as a personal frustration turned into a product designed to serve anyone who uses a chainsaw—from professionals in the field to homeowners managing their land.

Each CHAINCOIL is proudly designed and made in Oregon, USA, with precision, purpose, and a deep respect for the hard work our customers do.

This isn’t just a product—it’s a tool I believe in, made for the kind of work that matters.
